A highlight among regulars is the curry sauce, making it a must-try accompaniment to any meal.
Some visitors express frustration about the menu not being easily accessible outside of social media; a printed menu in the café could resolve this issue. Occasionally, there may be a short wait for meals, especially during busy periods like Friday evenings when the establishment reaches full capacity. While the atmosphere is generally praised, some find that it can get crowded, particularly during peak hours, which may negatively affect the dining experience for those looking for a quieter meal. Lastly, while the items are loved for their taste, some patrons note that prices have crept up, although the quality often justifies the cost.
My son and I stopped here after a walk in the Peak District due to the good reviews and mention that they cool in beef dripping (as many places do not nowadays). I have to say the cod, chips, curry & gravy were absolutely amazing and the service matched that as well. We will definitely be back again when we are in the ares. Thanks Mark.
All-round brilliant place! Food is delicious, the cakes are to die for, and the staff are always so cheerful and ready for a friendly chat - even when busy. They make you feel valued and that's why we will drive past three other fish and chip shops to purchase from this one 🤩
Great local fish and chips with great selection
Finally got around to trying and it definitely did not disappoint, you get a lot of good quality lovey tasting food for a good price! And the fresh cakes available were too nice to turn down, will 100% coming back again and will be recommending others to do so
Drove by Frydays on a Saturday evening for Chippy tea to take out. I ordered fish, chips and gravy and partner had same with curry sauce instead. Got served quickly and staff were friendly. Cost us about £21.40 which we know chippy's are dear nowadays but what we got was worth it. Large fish and loads of chips so got what we paid for. Tasted great! Only problem is couldn't find price list and menu beforehand as thinks its only on facebook which I don't use that garbage.
Great tradition British chippy, great food great price even with a piece of cake after. Portion sizes were brilliant and all done in a friendly atmosphere
Best chippy in the area, food is spot on
